Reliable as always

This was my third purchase from Engwe, an L20 Boost this time. Like my previous orders (an Engine Pro and some accessories), the bike arrived well-packaged and in good condition. The delivery was consistent with earlier experiences, around a week and a half. I keep coming back because their bikes are good value and haven't given me any issues after a few thousand kilometers on my first one.

Good bike, long delivery

I ordered an EP-2 Pro. The bike itself is pretty solid for the price, handles city riding well. Assembly wasn't too bad, just had to attach a few things. However, delivery took about 10 days to reach my place in Lyon, which felt a bit slow. Customer service was responsive when I inquired about the shipping status, which was a plus.

Love my new E26!

Just received my E26 electric bike and I'm so happy with it! It rides really smoothly and the battery life is great for my daily commute. The color looks even better in person. I can't wait to take it out on longer trips. Definitely recommend this brand to anyone looking for a fun and practical e-bike!

Engine X experience

I bought the Engine X last month. The ordering process on the website was straightforward; I found the product page clear with good specifications. Shipping took around 8 days to arrive in Bordeaux, which was within the estimated window. The bike came mostly assembled, requiring only the front wheel, handlebars, and pedals to be attached. All the tools needed were included. The quality of the components seems decent for the price point, especially the fat tires which handle rough paths well. I had a small question about adjusting the display settings and contacted support via email. They replied within 24 hours with a clear explanation. My only minor gripe was that the instruction manual could be a bit more detailed on initial setup steps, but overall, a positive purchase. The folding mechanism works smoothly, which is a big plus for storage.

What's the deal with returns? Like, if I get an X26 and it's not quite what I expected, how much of a headache is it?

W Wendy D. 1 month ago
I had to return a small accessory once, and it was pretty straightforward. Just make sure you follow their process on the website.

As long as it's within the return window and not damaged, you should be good. Keep the original packaging, that helps a lot.

How do the coupons work? Can I use a Black Friday code AND a student discount at the same time?

J Julia Marsh 1 month ago
Nah, usually it's one code per order. You gotta pick the better one.

Pretty sure they only let you stack one. I tried combining a model-specific code with a seasonal one and it didn't work.

Thinking about the Engine Pro, but also eyeing a Rad Power bike. Any thoughts on how the Engine Pro stacks up for city riding vs. those guys?

J Jared Osei 1 month ago
I had a friend with a Rad Power and honestly, my Engine Pro feels more solid. Plus the folding is super handy if you need to stash it.

Rad Power bikes are good, but I feel like the fat tires on the Engine Pro give it a real advantage for bumps and bad roads. Totally different vibe.

hey, anyone ordered an EP-2 Pro to like, Paris or something? how long did it actually take to show up?

D Dana Vargas 2 weeks ago
Yeah, I got mine in Lyon. Took about a week and a half, maybe 10 days total. Shipped from Europe, I think?

R Ryan 2 weeks ago
Mine was quicker, only 7 days to Bordeaux. Might depend on the model too.

does the 'first order discount' still work? been eyeing an L20 for a bit.

M Marcus 3 weeks ago
I got one when I bought my M20 a few months ago, so I think so. Usually pops up on their site or you can sign up for the newsletter.

Yeah, pretty sure it's still active. Just check their homepage or try to find a pop-up after a bit.

Are these bikes legit for French roads? Don't want to get pulled over or anything.

F Faith 2 weeks ago
Yeah, they're fine. As long as you stick to the legal power limits and assist speed, it's all good. Mine came configured correctly.

B Brett Q. 2 weeks ago
Totally. Just make sure you don't mess with the settings to go faster than 25km/h unassisted, that's where you run into trouble.

Are these bikes shipped fully assembled or do you have to put a bunch of stuff together yourself?

C Colin 1 month ago
Mine came mostly assembled, just had to attach the front wheel, handlebars, pedals, and seat. Took maybe 30 minutes.

J Jared 1 month ago
Yeah, not fully assembled but it's not IKEA furniture level. Pretty easy to finish up, they include tools and instructions.

Can you pay in installments or do you have to drop the whole lump sum at once?

D Dan W. 3 weeks ago
Pretty sure they have a payment plan option, I saw it when I was checking out. Think it was like 3 or 4 payments.

M Mike N. 3 weeks ago
They do! I split my P26 purchase over 3 months, was super easy to set up.
